BUCHAREST (Romania), May 23 (SeeNews) - The Romanian subsidiary of Austrian constriction materials group Leier said on Monday it has inaugurated its fourth factory in Romania.

The facility is located in Catcau, Cluj county and will manufacture pre-cast concrete products, Leier Group Romania said in a press release.

"The Leier factory from Catcau is a Greenfield-type investment which caters to Romania’s western market. Here we are manufacturing premium tiles and pavers and the production process is well underway, as the factory is fully operational," Leier Romania CEO Thomas Ebner said.

The Catcau investment is part of a 25 million euro ($26.6 million) investment, which Leier announced in 2020.

Leier Group is an Austrian conglomerate active across the Austrian, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Croatian, and the Ukrainian markets. Trough its subsidiaries, the group manufactures and distributes ceramic tiles, chimneys, and other pre-cast concrete products.

Besides the factory in Catcau, Leier Group operates plants in Alba, Iasi and Mures counties.
