State Department of Transportation (DOT) officials said work could start this summer to replace a retaining wall on Interstate 295 north in Bellmawr that collapsed in March 2021.

The new wall, which the DOT calls Wall 22, “is currently under design with initial site work expected to begin this summer,” said Stephen Schapiro, a DOT spokesman. “The cost of repairing the wall and how it will be paid for have not been determined yet.”
